With so many creek and river systems the Upper Lachlan is a very popular fishing boating location. Here are just some of the popular spots for public fishing -
Crookwell Water Supply -
Public fishing for Trout, Golden Perch and Silver Bream.
Pejar Dam -
Public Fishing for Trout only -
Wyangala Dam and Grabine Lakeside State Park -
Public fishing for Brown & Rainbow Trout, Catfish, Silver Perch, Golden Perch and Murray Cod
The majority of the land in the Upper Lachlan is private property so be sure to contact the landowner before entering their property.
Trout fishing season runs from the October long weekend to the June long weekend each year. At this time you may fish in the rivers and streams for trout. Fishing for trout in the major water storages is permitted all year round.
