The Argyle Inn
The Argyle Inn Taralga goes alright. As in, it’s a sweet spot to hang out. Get fed. Spend the weekend. It’s a pleasant place to hang with nearly ninety Mary nursing a glass of Mallaluka Sangio; or Ken and Frazer making short work of a couple of Capital Ales while they wait for Friday paella to be ready; to show spotty dog where red currants are in the garden; to smile with your eyes and nose at the roses just brought in from the farm; to ease yourself into Saturday night dinner with a glass of Paltrinieri Radice; then, after dinner, stand around the courtyard fire with strangers and friends alike, solving the problems of the world.....
The Argyle Inn offers an honest, simply prepared menu, made from seasonal ingredients grown on our farms, or sourced from local farmers and vendors. Come and enjoy a casual eating experience, in the Bistro or bar, or in good weather, the courtyard in the kitchen garden is the place to be.
Saturday night in the dining room is the pick of the week, where you can enjoy a five course shared set menu, at $65 per person. We seat a maximum of 45 so bookings are essential. Dinner in the Dining Room starts at 7pm so arrive early to enjoy a drink at the Bar. Select from a carefully crafted wine list, cocktails and craft beers or cider on tap.
There are 8 rooms, all with ensuite. Prices range from $180 to $280 per night. Light breakfast included. Bookings taken for Friday and Saturday nights.
